"Europe by Satellite" accessible throughout the world

Brussels, 13/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission spokesperson has announced that Europe by Satellite (EbS), the European Union's televised news service is now accessible on six continents. EbS provides news linked to the EU to professionals working for television and radio stations. So far, only the local, regional, national and cross-border EU media and those of the Mediterranean regions and Central and Eastern Europe had direct access to EbS.
