Communiqué of ministerial session confirms evolution in OECD - Attention paid to problems of society and to public opinion, severe regarding "tax havens", code of conduct for multinationals

Brussels, 13/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The final communiqué of the ministerial session of the OECD Council (held in Paris, end-June) has been published in No. 2201 of our EUROPE/Document series, annexed to this bulletin. Entitled "Shaping Globalisation", this communiqué confirms and strengthens the organisation's evolution, ongoing for some years now; in particular, the OECD today attaches greater importance than in the past to the problems of society and to public opinion.
