European Commission opens investigation into purchase of Juliana and Cadiz shipyards by Spanish State

Brussels, 13/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has opened an investigation into the acquisition by Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI) of the Juliana and Cadiz shipyards and the diesel engine plant Manises, owned by its subsidiary Astilleros Espanoles (AESA), for some 60 million euro (PTA 10 billion).
