(EU) CHARTER OF FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS: Part dedicated to civil and political rights is finalised - Convention starts examination of economic and social rights

Brussels, 13/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Convention, responsible for the drafting of the European Union's Charter of Fundamental Rights, progressed well this week. The part of the future Charter, dedicated to civil and political rights, is now closed, after the adoption of a compromise for the Article relating to children's rights and the provisions up to Article 30 concerning freedom of movement.
