Brussels, 13/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - By adopting a report by Portuguese Socialist Elisa Maria Damiao, with 200 in favour, 27 against and 4 abstentions, on the directive on the safety and health of pregnant workers, the European Parliament calls on the Commission to submit a proposal by end 2000 to amend Directive 92/85/EEC, and to include in it improvements in the measures aimed at protecting the health and safety of pregnant women as well as those who have just given birth or are...
