Cases in Court of Justice against Italy, Austria, Germany and reasoned opinion to Belgium over Directive on treatment of waste water

Brussels, 07/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission decided to bring Italy, Austria and Germany before the Court of Justice and sent a reasoned opinion to Belgium, for bad transposition or implementation of Directive on treatment of waste water (91/271). It reproaches: 1) Italy for incorrectly applying the Directive on waste water in Milan, 2) Belgium for not respecting the legislation at all regional levels.
