Railways and industry sign a Memorandum to prepare implementation of directive on harmonisation of freight transport

Brussels, 07/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The International Union of Railways (UIC), the Community of European Railways (CER) and the Union of European Railway Industries (UNIFE), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding laying down the foundations for their cooperation in anticipation of the adoption, by the EU, of the directive on the interoperability of the Trans-European rail freight network.
