ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) finance

In Spain, TELEFONICA MOVILES (TELEFONICA group) and the bank BBVA have created a 50/50 joint-venture in which they will invest an initial 20 bn pesetas. Called MOVILPAGO HOLDING, it will develop and market a single payment system for mobile phones. In addition, TELEFONICA has made a new bid for TELEFONICA DEL PERU. An additional 2 bn euro will be invested on that occasion. See EI of 3%4 July.
