EP once again calls for dialogue on lifting of embargo

Strasbourg, 07/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday the EP adopted (210 in favour, 62 against and 12 abstentions) a resolution by the EPP, Socialist, United Left and the Union for a European of Nations groups by which it recalls the request it made in April for the UN Security Council to engage in dialogue in view of lifting the economic embargo against Iraq, "accompanied by strict implementation of the embargo oo the delivery of weapons".
