Strasbourg, 29/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption of two reports by Italian Socialist Demetrio Volcic and French Gaullist Jacques Baumel, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe gave its go-ahead to accession by Armenia and Azrbaijan to the pan-European organisation that will thus be made up of 43 Member States. The accession ceremony could take place during the meeting of Committee of Ministers on 8 and 9 November.
