Agreements with nine applicant countries on partial liberalisation of agricultural trade are ready and will take effect as soon as the Council gives its stance, with retroactive effect on 1 July

Brussels, 29/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission announced that the agreements with nine applicant countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEEC) on the partial liberalisation of agricultural trade are now ready. The aim is to gradually prepare these countries for total liberalisation and CAP application from the time of their accession.
