Javier Solana on official visit to Colombia to assess possibility of EU taking part in financing of Colombian peace plan - Divergences between EU 15?

Brussels/Bogota, 29/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - For his first official visit to Latin America, the High Representative for CFSP, Javier Solana, met, This Thursday in Bogota, the Colombian President, Andrés Pastrana, as well as MPs, businessmen and representatives from NGOs and Trade Union. One of the main aims of his visit is to discuss the Colombian peace plan.

The EU must still determine its position on this plan, contested by Colombian and International NGOs before the Donors Conference...
