Mr. Védrine insists on new possibilities of developing strengthened co-operation - Work of General Affairs Council must be improved

Paris, 29/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - Receiving a group of French journalists before the start of the French Presidency of the EU Council, the French Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hubert Védrine, reasserted that success in the IGC at the Nice summit will be one of the Presidency's main priorities, and, while recalling that it is a package, he insisted on the importance of a decision over the easing of strengthened co-operations.
