Luxembourg, 29/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European trade union for hotel and catering workers (SETCA/UITA) explained at a press conference on the margins of the Health Council that the draft "Tobacco" Directive directly threatened 9000 jobs (or 16% of the workforce) and several European production sites such as Bayreuth, Southampton, Copenhagen, Trèves, Lagnehagen, Ballymena, Malmö and the Canary Islands.
