Luxembourg, 16/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - As indicated in yesterday's bulletin page 12, the Research Council dedicated a significant part of its work to the creation of the future European Research Area. In an open debate, the ministers also discussed the information and knowledge society; all the delegations underlined the vital importance of its development for the future of research and European competitiveness.
