At its first meeting, Association Council sets out priorities of cooperation and defines parameters of political dialogue

Brussels, 16/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Union and Israel confirmed the priorities of their economic and trade cooperation for the coming years at their first Association Council session, held this week in Luxembourg (see EUROPE of 15 June, p. 3). The Association Agreement that entered into force on 1 June last, "opens a new chapter and will give new impetus to our relations.
