Legal Affairs Committee to examine Le Pen affair on Monday

Brussels, 12/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's Legal Affairs Committee, chaired by Ana Palacio Vallelersundi (Partido Popular) has, after a meeting behind closed doors in Strasbourg on Monday, to decide on the decree of the French Government by which Jean-Marie Le Pen, leader of the French National Front, has been stripped of his mandate as Euro-MP (see EUROPE of 26 April, p.4).
