12/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission proposes to appoint, during the year 2000, several women to positions of high responsibility: two directors-general or deputy directors-general, five directors or chief advisers. In addition, 20% of the appointments for A3 to A5 posts should be women and, where possible, in the lists of competition prizewinners the Commission proposes to recruit as many women as men.
