12/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - Friday's "Guardian" says that the United Kingdom "will block ambitious plans for a new European Charter of Fundamental Rights", which in London still raises more "concerns" than the IGC reforms. According to the British daily, Britain is placing emphasis on the need for the future Charter to be a simple confirmation of existing rights, but not set out new ones.
