Brussels, 07/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The EU Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Belgium calls on the European Commission not to propose anything too radical regarding taxation matters as this could hamper the development of electronic commerce. This stance aims to nurture reflection in progress on an amendment of the VAT system that governs e-commerce, to be proposed by the end of the month.
