According to the Financial Times, SITA, the waste subsidiary of SUEZ LYONNAISE DES EAUX (France), is interested in buying a large part of the foreign subsidiaries of the American waste processing group WASTE MANAGEMENT. Heavily indebted and posting a deficit, the latter intends to sell blocks of its activities located outside of North America. Located in 17 countries, these interests are estimated at some USD 2 billion.
