03/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – In its latest report on external trade covering the year 2024 and the first half of 2025, published on Monday 3 November, the European Commission praises its trade policy, particularly its free trade agreements (FTAs). According to the Commission, exports to partner countries (now 44) grew twice as fast as exports to other destinations over the period under review. The agri-food sector benefits greatly from this: exports of agri-food products reached a record level in 2024 and increased by 3.6% in the case of FTAs. It should be noted that imports of these products from partner countries are also growing faster: +10.6% compared with +4.3% from countries that do not have an agreement with the EU. Furthermore, trade in services between the EU and its privileged partners has grown three times faster than with countries without an agreement. See the full report: https://aeur.eu/f/j9k (LM)
