03/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – The launch of the Défense Angels European Network (DAEN), the first pan-European network of business angels dedicated to defence technologies and strategic innovation, was announced at the end of October. It will bring together private investors from across Europe to support promising start-ups in the fields of defence, dual-use and critical technologies (advanced materials, drones, space, cybersecurity, quantum technology, etc.). Designed as a collaborative platform, the DAEN network will encourage cross-border co-investment and the sharing of expertise, and will put DefenceTech entrepreneurs in touch with industrial, financial and institutional partners from different geographical horizons. It will also act as a bridge between public instruments (DEF, Defence Equity Facility, European Innovation Council) and private European investors. The creation of the network also involved institutional partners, in particular Bpifrance, through its international EuroQuity platform. To find out more (in French), visit https://aeur.eu/f/j9i (MB)
