EU mobilises €21.5 million for Central America in wake of Hurricane Melissa

03/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 3 November, the European Commission announced the mobilisation of €21.5 million in humanitarian aid to help people hit by Hurricane Melissa and by the continuing crises in Venezuela and Haiti. Up to €14.5 million will be used to mitigate the effects of the Venezuelan crisis, including in neighbouring countries such as Colombia, with a focus on protection, health and nutrition.
