10/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – In Luxembourg on Friday, 10 October, European finance ministers approved the amending protocols to the agreement between the European Union and Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, and Switzerland on the automatic exchange of financial account information. The purpose of these changes is to comply with changes to the common reporting standard developed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) (see EUROPE 13685/17). Likewise, they decided to authorise opening negotiations with Norway in preparation for an agreement on administrative cooperation in the area of direct taxation (see EUROPE 13496/19).
