Court of Auditors issues unfavourable opinion on expenditure financed by EU budget in 2024, but notes decreased error rate

On Thursday 9 October, the European Court of Auditors (ECA) published its annual reports on the EU budget’s implementation for the financial year 2024. For the sixth year running, the Court of Auditors has issued an unfavourable opinion on EU budget spending. The Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), in its fourth year of implementation, has been given a new “qualified” opinion.
