European Parliament adopts Bogdan Andrzej Zdrojewski's report on accessible sport for social and local inclusion

At their plenary session in Strasbourg on Tuesday 7 October, MEPs adopted an own-initiative report by Bogdan Andrzej Zdrojewski (EPP, Polish) on the role of EU policies in shaping the European Sport Model. The text was approved by 552 votes to 52, with 35 abstentions.

The aim is to make sport a European public good and to call on the European Commission to present a long-term strategy on sport and physical activity policy, accompanied by explicit guidelines on the application of EU law,...
