European Parliament approves agreement with EU Council on revision of River Information Services Directive

07/10/2025 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament approved, by 636 votes to 10 with 4 abstentions, the political agreement with the Council of the EU on the revised River Information Services Directive on Tuesday 7 October in Strasbourg. Obtained in June (see EUROPE B13668A16), this agreement will make it possible to digitise river information, such as notices to skippers and vessel tracking, by creating a single platform to manage communication on traffic, infrastructure and...
