European Parliament’s Committee on Budgets adopts its position on 2026 budget

The position of MEPs in the Committee on Budgets for the EU budget for 2026, adopted on Monday 6 October, adds €523 million to the draft 2026 budget proposed by the Commission (see EUROPE B13653A27) and restores €1.3 billion for the funding of key programmes, an amount that had been cut by the Council of the EU (see EUROPE B13678A30).
