EU repeats call for ceasefire, two years after start of armed conflict

11/04/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 11 April, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, repeated on behalf of the Union her call for a ceasefire in Sudan, where the armed conflict has now been going on for two years. The EU urges the warring parties to negotiate in good faith for a sustainable peace. It also calls on all countries “supplying arms and funds to the belligerents to cease their support immediately”.
