European Commission prepares strategy against threats to public health

On Friday 11 April, the European Commission launched a public consultation until 9 May on its new strategy for improving the EU’s response to public health threats (infectious disease epidemics, antimicrobial resistance, chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear threats). 

The Commission is due to adopt a communication on this subject in the second quarter of 2025.
