MEPs Axel Voss and Brando Benifei want European Commission to resurrect AI liability directive

In a letter sent to Commissioners Michael McGrath and Henna Virkkunen, as well as to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, two MEPs, Axel Voss (EPP, German) and Brando Benifei (S&D, Italian), have proposed updating the now defunct Artificial Intelligence Liability Directive (AILD) (see EUROPE B13618A11) in the next digital simplification package, announced for the end of the year.
