Brussels, 25/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Committee of the regions, chaired by Peter Straub, is to hold a conference on subsidiarity in London on 29 November, under the aegis of the House of Lords and the UK Presidency. The debates will focus on: - the role the national parliaments can play in ensuring better awareness of the local and regional dimension in the European legislative process; - better regulation and better regulating; - challenges and perspectives of Committee on subsidiarity.
