Contribution to initiative for relaunching growth in Europe - Nordic countries worried about financial implications of projects

Luxembourg, 07/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - Ministers of the Economy and Finance in EU Member States adopted on Tuesday in Luxembourg, their contribution to the European council of Brussels (16-17 October) on the subject of the European initiative for growth. Nordic countries did not want this initiative to compromise the provisions of the Stability Pact or impact too heavily on the European Investment Bank's (EIB) budget.
