ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) breweries

The Belgian INTERBREW brewery has indicated that it now has a controlling stake of 50.1% in APATIN, the number one in the Serbian beer market. It also indicated that an offer which was "definitive and irrevocable had been made for all remaining shares at the price of EUR 167.64 euros". This will be closed on 31 March 2004. APATIN is valued at EUR 262 million and 39% on the national beer market.
