07/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, NATO agreed to the principle of extending its peace keeping mission beyond Kabul. Methods for this ISAF still have to be worked out but the decision should allow Germany, which is in charge of this international force to speed up the military support contingent with a civilian reconstruction mission in the Kunduz region as soon as the UN Security Council has given the green light to the draft resolution of the Federal Republic in preparation.
