ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) cars

German-US group, DAIMLERCHRYSLER, has sold off a majority holding of 60% in its assisted steering systems subsidiary of MERCEDES-BENZ LENKUNGEN (annual turnover EUR 300 million, with workforce of 1600) to the German THYSSENKRUPP group. The agreements stipulates that the latter will take over the -of 40% in two years "at the earliest".
