ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) construction

The Dutch BAM group has sold off its dredging BHD - BALLAST HAM DREDGING subsidiaries(annual turnover of EUR 629 million) to its sister company, VAN OORD from the Netherlands, for EUR 427 million. Thanks to this operation, VAN OORD will be number two in the sector, with an annual turnover of around EUR 970 million (based on results form 2002).
