Negotiations on Alstom stepped up - Mr Herzog calls for rules on State aid to be reformed

Brussels, 19/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - Commissioner Mario Monti has cancelled his trip to Italy, where he was to take part in a conference on antitrust rules this weekend, in order to remain "fully available" and work on the Alstom dossier. "We hope to find a solution by Monday", stressed spokesperson Tilman Lueder.
