Switzerland will also be able to benefit from a transition period of seven years after opening up its borders from future EU Member States

Brussels, 19/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - Enlargement Commissioner, Günter Verheugen, went to Bern on Thursday to discuss with the Swiss authorities certain issues relating to the next enlargement of the EU.
