Brussels, 19/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - Enlargement Commissioner, Günter Verheugen, went to Bern on Thursday to discuss with the Swiss authorities certain issues relating to the next enlargement of the EU. The arrival of the next Member States on 1 May 2004 will also have immediate consequences for Switzerland, given that seven bilateral agreements (including the sensitive area of free circulation of persons) have been concluded with the Fifteen of the current EU and which must be extended...
