19/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - The high election council of the self-proclaimed republic of northern Cyprus has set parliamentary elections for 14 December, according to the Reuters agency. These elections, held a few months after the accession of Cyprus to the European Union, which is still divided, is seen as a test for the policy of the Turkish Cypriot Rauf Denktash.
