19/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Greens/EFA are protesting against the getting rid of the special train that linked Brussels and Strasbourg at 9 H on Monday morning during he parliamentary session weeks. According to the Greens, "The SNCB decision to get rid of the special 105 train service is incomprehensible and unacceptable". The Greens explain that as long as the activities of the European Parliament are not "in a single place", suitable means of transport will be necessary. They stress that cars and planes are more than just polluting and the seats offered on the 7H morning train were insufficient. The European Parliament spokesman explained that Pat Cox had been in touch with the French authorities to attempt to rectify the situation.
