Brussels, 27/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, Commissioner Franz Fischler agreed to confer upon Hungarian authorities the management of aid under SAPARD (Special Accession Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development scheme). Hungary, which was the last country not to have received the Commission's go-ahead, may thus receive a first payment of EUR 38.7 million from the Community budget for the year 2000 (the maximum is 49% of the annual amount).
