27/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission adopted two communications aimed at improving the quality of statistics in the euro zone. The first deals more specifically with budgetary statistics essential for the correct updating of the budgetary surveillance framework for the EMU and the stability and growth pact. The second concerns all macro-economic statistics relating to the zone. EUROPE will come back to this.
