Investigation concerning the management of Community funds granted in France in the area of information policy

Brussels, 21/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Anti-fraud Office (OLAF) confirmed that it had opened an investigation into the management of Community funds in France, in the area of the Community's information and communication policy. "To allow the inquiries to proceed smoothly and to avoid any appearance of conflicts of interest", it has been decided in the interest of the service to post two officials from the Commission Representation in Paris to Brussels.
