Brussels, 07/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - At a press conference, Thursday morning in Brussels, the Finnish Green, Heidi Hautala, British Liberal-Democrat Diana Wallis, as well as Bruno Kaufmann, president of the "Initiative & Referendum Institute, Europe" (IRI) presented a report and campaign aimed at promoting the introduction of a people's initiative mechanism and Union-wide referenda.
