RTL can acquire stake in n-tv

Brussels, 07/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has given the go-ahead to the Luxembourg RTL group to acquire a 47% stake held by Holtzbrinck in the German information channel, n-tv. Following this deal, n-tv will be jointly controlled by RTL and AOL Time Warner. The investigation carried out by the Commission ruled that n-tv was a very small player on the German free-TV market and that the operation would therefore have a minor impact on RTL's position in this market.
