ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) finance

SCHEMAVENTOTTO, 60% controlled by EDIZIONE HOLDING (BENETTON group), has launched a take-over bid for the whole of AUTOSTRADE in which it already has a 29.9% stake. The going price is EUR 9.5 per share out of an overall amount of EUR 8 billion. This will be the largest take-over bid ever launched in Italy after OLIVETTI's bid for TELECOM ITALIA in 2001.
