ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) agri-foods

A consortium bringing together the most important French sugar co-operative UNION SDA and the beetroot planters UNION BS holding have acquired 53.8% of Italian company EDISON's stake in BEGHIN-SAY, the largest French sugar company, for EUR 37 per share. The latter is valued at EUR 950 million for 100% of its capital.
