EP/Council agreement for total ban on animal experiments in 2009 as well as sale of cosmetic products tested on animals

Brussels, 07/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday morning the Parliament and Council reached an agreement on legislation aiming to amend Directive 76/768/EEC on cosmetic products and totally ban animal experiments for these products and their ingredients, when there are other alternative methods of testing recognised at an international level.
